How much Terramin should one take?

The recommended daily maintenance dosage of the 750mg tablets are one tablet for every 50 pounds of body weight and approximately one heaping teaspoon of powder mixed with a liquid of choice for the average adult. If you are starting out try 1/4 tsp or 1/2 tsp for one or two weeks, then increase it a little at a time until you feel comfortable. Same with the tablets, if you weigh 200 lbs and the dosage is around 4-5 tablets, maybe start with two and work yourself up to the amount that you feel comfortable with. Some people take it twice a day. Take your Terramin for best results on an empty stomach and of course with plenty of liquids. Terramin needs a lot of liquid, so if you take it with water, tea, coffee or juice, make sure it is at least 8 oz. These dosages may vary depending on medical condition, body weight, age, genetics, stress, diet, level of exercise, etc. It is recommended to consult your professional medical practitioner for a more exacting dosage determination.

How long will a 2 lbs. powder last?

Many months depending on how many people are using it and how much is consumed daily. I personally take 1 tsp. a day eveyday, and it will last me almost 3 months. But then again I have others in my household who dip into it also.

What are some of the trace minerals in the clay?

Calcium for the formation of bones. Iodine to keep the thyroid gland running. Iron that is vital to blood, carries oxygen. Magnesium necessary for food metabolism and nerve function. Phosphorus to help regulate heart, nerve and muscle activity and maintain acid-alkali balance in the blood and tissue. Selenium which works as an antioxidant a major factor in the prevention of cancer. Zinc which is important to the functions of the eyes and, in men, a working prostrate.

The chemical composition is the same for powder or tablets except for a small amount of a natural wood pulp derived binder to hold the tablets shape. The tablets are more convenient to take and are swallowed like any other tablet, but tend to be more expensive. The powder takes a little bit of an effort to mix with a liquid and drink, although it is a slightly more effective because it's form absorbs faster in the body.
